One game, went with Shang against Persian and Greek. I was playing with Egypt, who I enjoy playing in Age of Empires as they have a strong chariot and strong navy. I usually play Hittites and Choson, as they are the best in Deathmatch, a game where you are full on resources and have to hit on war.

I lost. My ally immediately turned, as happens in Age of Empires, and I was surprised at how fast the Persians and the Greeks hit my city,

End Game 50

In my last Age of Empires I game, I didn't know how to win. I played against Egypt and Babylon on an island map. I didn't know how to play with navy ships, but this is how I won. I wanted to challenge these Civilizations because this is what I like playing. I knew the Greeks had good Chariot, I knew they had Centurions, and I thought they had good Archers. I did not know they had best ships. These ships won the game.

I built two ports, one against the North and one against the West. I did not know where the Babylonians were, did not know where the Egyptians were.

Why play this game? I love Age of Empires because of history. One reason I played this game was to get the Cataprhact, the strongest Cavalry in the game, and in Age of Empires II as Byzantines.

Why cav? Greeks did not have the Cataphract.

Odd.

How did I win with ship?

How did I win with Cav?

How did I win with Chariot?

How did I win with sword? My centurions protected the west, my heavy cav protected the northern port. The Babylonians lost a quick battle, but the Egyptians never attacked. I quickly lost some ship to priests. The Babylonians priests beat my ships. I attacked with cav next. Next, the Babylonians folded on game. Next, the Egyptians, who never fought, did not fold on game.

My fleet attacked north. I made cavalry protect port. The Egyptians tried to hit my west port. I won the Babylonian land, won new port.

I then hit the Egyptians hard, with ships, with Cavalry, with Centurions, with Chariots, and with no bow. The Egyptians did not quickly fold. My ships lost, but my cavalry were able to hit them with a flank. My centurions lost, my chariots lost, but I was able to win.

The game ended before I could wipe out the Egyptians. They folded, but lost the game. The game showed me these are the best civilizations to play. The Babylonians have strong fleet and ship, chariot and short sword; the Egyptians have the best chariot, but weak ship.

I don't know how to play Age of Empires again, but I can still play a game called Age of Empires II.
